Cork City Hotel Reviews – Ashley Hotel Guest Reviews

The Ashley Hotel is a very cosy family run hotel right in the centre of Cork city. It is an affordable, comfortable hotel tucked away on Coburg St but still close enough to all the central shops, pubs and restaurants. While I have stayed at posher hotels before, the difference with the Ashley hotel is that all the staff are friendly and really helpful. The receptionist offered us a loan of enormous golf umbrellas (without us asking) before we ventured into town in the midst of a downpour. And when we asked for more heating in our room, she lent us a plug in oil heater for our room as well. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was great as well with a choice of traditional Irish breakfast plus a selection of continental food and good coffee.

Whenever I visit Cork City I always stay at the Ashley Hotel. This family run hotel is perfectly placed in a central location yet you don’t have to pay through the nose for this privilege as you would with hotel chains.
The rooms are comfortable, the food is great and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly – when I’m there I feel like a friend who is staying over rather than a guest, their hospitality really knows no bounds!

For those travelling my car or bike there is a secure car park, they cater for those travelling with pets and reception is always manned.

What else could you possibly need? I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

From the moment i arrived at this wonderful hotel , I was greeted by very helpful and friendly staff. it was just perfect to be so close to town as I didnt have a car and I was close to everything !!!
the rooms were homely and the bathrooms clean it was like a home away from home.
I would stay there again as i thought the staff were excellent making sure I was comfortable and always smiling whenever i asked them directions or advice on where to eat etc.
I would defiantly stay there again on my next trip to Cork!

 We had a great stay at this hotel ! The customer service was fantastic, especially the female day front desk manager. She went out of our way to ensure we had everything we needed, were pointed in the right direction, and we could not have asked for more. We were only a few minutes walk from the city center, so location was perfect ! Across the street were a couple of quality pubs as well in case city center is not your scene. There was free wifi available to all rooms.Secured parking was included with the night’s stay as well. Overall, our stay was great, we were within budget ! Thanks a lot Ashley Hotel !
